XL Bullies generally have broad, powerful heads and relatively wide snouts, but there can be considerable variation between individual dogs. Selecting a muzzle based on breed or weight alone may therefore produce an unsuitable fit.

Measure the length and circumference of your dog’s snout before choosing a size. The muzzle should remain secure without pressing against the nose, interfering with the eyes or rubbing around the cheeks.

For public walks and longer periods of wear, choose a design with sufficient internal space for your dog to breathe, pant and drink comfortably. A metal basket muzzle often provides generous ventilation, while an appropriately sized leather muzzle can provide a lighter alternative.

XL Bullies can differ significantly in head and snout size. Measure from the tip of the nose to just below the eyes, then measure around the widest part of the snout. Compare both measurements with the size chart on the individual product page.
