How Does a Figure of 8 Dog Lead Work?

To provide you greater control over your dog on walks, the figure of 8 lead fits around the dog's neck and muzzle.

The more the dog pulls, the more it will push its own head downward, which is not only uncomfortable since it is obstructing its own vision, but it is also much weaker than when it pulls with its neck or chest.

Unlike standard leashes, where we frequently see owners clinging on for dear life, a figure of eight lead allows your dog to turn and stop smoothly without using their entire strength.Overtime, the dog adjusts and pulls less and learns to walk with their owners pace.

Fitting Instructions:

Step 1 - Start by putting the larger loop over the dogs head.
Step 2 - Place the smaller loop over the snout.
Step 3 - Secure with the sliding stopper at the back of the neck. This will fix the figure 8 training leash in place.
Step 4 - Ready for a walk!

Training Your Pet:

The leash may take some adjusting to for your pet, so be sure to practice with some positive enforcement around your home and with their favourite treats.
The goal of the product is to have a safe and happy pet. Make sure the product is worn correctly to provide the pet comfort.
Keep your practice sessions short to start with and proceed at the dogs pace, make sure to praise your pet whilst trying out the new product as they may feel overwhelmed at first.
